The Mission of the Hinsdale County Historical Society is to discover, collect, preserve, exhibit and promote material and information in order to assist the public in understanding and appreciating Hinsdale County history.

Director Position Opening
Due to a resignation, Hinsdale County Historical Society’s Board of Directors has a vacancy to fill for a two-year term ending August 2026. Hinsdale County Historical Society operates with a seven-member board overseeing operations at Hinsdale County Museum, and other historical projects. Applications with brief resume will be accepted until September 22, 2025, and discussed at the Tuesday, September 23, Board of Directors’ meeting.
